“Can cooking/baking be done without using the convection feature?”

• Yes. I started using the "bake" feature on Thanksgiving Day, the day after installation, and haven't even used convection yet.

• yes -- you can cook without using convection. Both ovens are independent also, so you can cook with convection in one and not in the other.
