“Does this cooktop come with the ventilation system that lifts up out of the cooktop or will I need to buy a hood for the cooktop as well? If not, am I stating that feature correctly? I'm looking for a cooktop that doesn't require the overhead vent hood.”

Doesn’t have a updraft vent, but if placing below microwave you might have a vent fan on that especially if it’s a convection.
