“Hi, I bought this unit several months ago prior to starting a kitchen remodel. Too late to return it. I'm now rethinking my kitchen layout. Since the microwave and oven are separate units, can I install just the lower oven portion by itself?”

Thanks for your reply Anniesmom but these are separate units simply attached by a bracket and trim kit for the microwave. They do not share a common circuit board. The microwave has its own power cord which plugs into a standard household outlet, ( ive tried it) and the lower oven portion gets hardwired into a 240v 30 amp circuit. The lower oven based on all the specs seems to be the same as the frigidaire gallery single wall oven. I was hoping for a response from Frigidaire Support or someone familiar with this particular unit to confirm

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, these units are not really separate. They operate from the same circuit board. That's the downside of buying an all-in-one unit. You could ask an electrician if you could separate them and use the board with only one unit, but that would render the other unit useless. The electrician also may not want to mess with a circuit board that may have to be altered. But it doesn't hurt to ask.
