“Can I use my cast iron pans on the ceramic top? I have heard both yes and no. The “no” answers came with explanations of the pan being too heavy for the heating element or that it would scratch the surface. “Yes” answers said not to slide or drop pan.”

Hi CastIronJunkie! Thank you for your inquiry. There are many different cookware that can be used. Cast Iron is a slow heat conductor that will retain heat very well. Cooks evenly once cooking temperature is reached. If cast iron pans slide across the ceramic cooktop, they may leave metal marks which will resemble scratches. Remove these marks immediately.
