Yes the filter is removable. A very quite unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, the filter is removable and can be cleaned. It is difficult to watch TV with the unit on. It's not annoyingly loud; however, I prefer not to be in the same room when its on because I am hard of hearing.

However, keep in mine the noise level can vary for each person. For some it maybe soft and for some it maybe medium. -Ciara
