• This unit does have an effective humidistat. Once your humidity level is reached it will in fact maintain that level.

• Hello, Philhans! That is a really good question. Once the dehumidifier control is set to the desired RH% level, the fan inside along with the compressor measures the moisture in the air, that has to be removed. Once the desired RH% has been reached, the dehumidifier will shut off and the fan will run periodically to test the air to maintain the desired RH%. -Katrina
