A:AnswerI removed an older model Frigidaire over the stove microwave and did not need to replace the vertical wall plate at the back. Thank you for not changing the mounting slots on the back of the microwave. I did need to drill new holes for the top mounting.

A:AnswerThe under microwave lighting is provided by a set of bright “daylight” LED lights. They provide ample lighting to the stovetop. I’ve attached pics which were taken at 10:30am when it was bright in the kitchen. You can see the effect of the lights from the microwave on the stove top.
