“I am technology challenged, so I don't know the name of this capability. Hopefully this comparison makes sense. Our printer can print/scan from multiple computers, so can this scanner scan from multiple computers? If not, any suggestions?”

Yes, the software used to do the scanning can be installed on up to 5 computers after you register a ScanSnap account. The scanner will then need to be connected to the computer through USB or wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
