Hi, Fujitsu designed the ScanSnap iX1500 to be as easy to use as possible. To do that we had to develop our own proprietary driver that is NOT Twain compliant. If you need a Twain compliant scanner then I suggest that you look at the Fujitsu "fi" series scanners. Best regards, Eric Fujitsu Canada Inc.
