Questionwhich last longer the SSD or HDD with this external storage. I have my laptop for over 10 years now with the HDD amazing how this still working but is not fast enought i hear SSD doesnt last long. kine of thinking. but hope this Storage drive is fast.

- Answer As reliable as HDDs have been, they're no-longer leading edge. The SSD is faster, uses less power, and when it fails it's usually due to writing, not reading, so if the SSD stops writing, you'll typically be able to recover the data. As far as which lasts longer, I have some Western Digital HDDs that are still working that are older than SSD technology altogether. If you do your research, you'll be hard-pressed to beat SSD with HDD in anything but price. Cheers!

- Answer Yes it is. I have had mine for awhile, with no damage. I have dropped it several times and spilled coffee on it once. No problems at all using it. I have had no problem with files at all. Best money I have spent for any portable storage unit.
