• This drive comes with two cables: * USB-C to USB-C Cable * USB-C to USB-A™ cable for backward compatibility (Compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0) By regular USB port, I assume you mean your Macbook has a USB-A, so you should be able to use the USB-C to USB-A cable. I don't think you will have to purchase any additional cable. I hope this helps!
