• Yes it can hold both a monitor and tower. Yes the large mouse pad covers most of the desk which protects the top finish.

• Yes,, EZ ... 47 inches long by (looks like 24 inches deep - but don't have specs in-front of me but i am typing on desk now ) ... i suggest the separate PC tower holder - that would sit next to desk ....I went dual monitors (27 inch) hp monitors on desk and tower on floor .. the giant mouse pad fills the entire top its nice !.. might damage it with tower on top ..
