you should get two magnets which would allow this, I did.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you order a separate magnet or mount from Garmin (I think the mount is under $15), you can easily move it between vehicles. The camera itself attaches to a really small magnet or metal disc permanently glued to the windshield. It would be simple to move between vehicles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No problem, you will need to purchase the Low-profile Magnetic Mount kit (010-12530-00) for each additional vehicle. Thanks, James
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In the box I got there were two magnets with tape on the back that I believe would allow you to mount one in two different cars. The little magnetic plate is how the dash camera mounts to the windshield. Once you have let the magnetic tape set for 24 hours you should be able attach the low profile magnetic mount and camera to the windshield. If you want to take the mount and camera off the windshield just pull it off. The magnetic plate stays on the windshield. The only down side about the whole thing is having to route the power cable up to the camera each time you move the camera, that is if you are trying to hide the power cable. If you don't care about hiding the power cable then its not such a big issue. I would also get a bigger microsd card and download the app so you can download the videos or pictures to your cell phone in case of an accident.
