• Hit and miss depending on conditions; most likely a miss at 50'. I don't know how others do at 1080p and 30 fps, probably similar. It does do pretty good at maintaining consistent footage quality in various conditions as far as lighting, color, glare and shadows etc.

• I have not done this test but seeing how sharp and clear the video is I am sure that one uploaded to computer you should be able to zoom it in and read for that distance.
