- Answer The Garmin Drive 52 GPS that I recently purchased has a power cord that plugs into power port of my truck. Although it is similar in design, it is a power port and not a cigarette lighter.

- Answer Yes. I just put in 25 to check. One tip. Inserting addresses directly to the gps unit is cumbersome. When doing a lot of addresses I find it easier to create the addresses as waypoints in Basecamp and then transfer them to the Drive 52 via Web Express. They show up under the "saved" section.

- Answer Yes, all of them can be transferred using the Garmin Express program. Garmin Express transfers Favorites, Saved Places, and Routes from one compatible device to another.

- Answer Garmin automotive devices are designed to be plugged directly into a cigarette outlet or 12V outlet in a vehicle. Most vehicles will have a 12V outlet even if they don't have a cigarette outlet. Sometimes they are in unexpected places, so it is recommended to check the vehicle's owner's manual if it is not easily found. If the vehicle does not have a cigarette outlet or a 12V outlet, some devices can be used with a USB cable or a third-party adapter, but they may not be able to provide enough power to charge the device or allow it to operate properly.

- Answer Yes, this model includes the Trip Planner feature that can be used to create and save a trip with up to 30 multiple stops. Or if you only want to “shape” a custom route to go the way you prefer; the device has a Shaping Points feature also.

- Answer The Garmin Drive 52 does not include the traffic feature. To include the traffic feature you should look at the Garmin Drive 52 & Traffic.
