- Answer There is always a light on the vehicle power cord when it is connected properly. The battery icon on the screen will indicate that the device is properly charging. ~JH

- Answer You do not need sirius radio to use this Garmin. Yes, it absolutely fits the bean bag holder -- there is an attachment included with this model which fits in the rear & that attaches to the bean bag holder. That is the type holder we have, and we were very happy to see that it worked so slick.
