Mounting hardware is a suction cup that connects to the back of the Garmin and the suction cup to any smooth surface. If you don't have a smooth surface or don't want to stick it to your windshield, Garmin will send you a mounting 'disk' that has an adhesive on one side and the other side is smooth for the suction cup. A full charge from 'dead' can take 6+ hours. It can be charge via a USB cable that comes with it or the 'power cord' that plugs into a vehicle's auxiliary power socket (i.e., cigarette lighter socket).

There are three ways to charge the battery: connect to the vehicle power cable that came with your device, use an AC power adapter or connect to a powered-on computer with a USB cable. Thanks, James
