QuestionHow to activate voice function

- Answer The default activation phrase for the device is "Voice Command". Simply speaking the activation phrase while the device is powered on should activate the voice command menu. The activation, or "wake up" phrase can be changed in the apps menu of the device. -MH

- Answer The traffic for DriveLuxe 50LMT HD the device will refresh up to 30 seconds. Standard traffic of other device will refresh every 5 minutes. ~JH

- Answer The Garmin DriveLuxe series does not have a 3.5mm jack. None of our current models have this type of jack on them. ~JH

- Answer The Garmin - DriveLuxe 50LMTHD uses the internal speaker only to transmit audio. Also this GPS includes a Vehicle power cable that connects to a cigarette lighter power port. Thanks, James

- Answer Yes, the DriveLuxe 50LMTHD will display an icon of the speed limit. This icon will turn red when you are exceeding the limit. It will also tell you what your current speed is. ~JH

- Answer The DriveLuxe provides weather for the current day in detail and days to come. Viewing weather radar is available but only with a purchase of Advanced Weather Service using our Smartphone link. ~JH

- Answer The DriveLuxe 50LMTHD has many features and will locate all POIs listed on the map but we have RV units like the RV 660LMT that will give you navigation data that’s designed based on the size of the RV like height, width, and length so you can safely navigate on streets and under bridges with the proper clearance needed. ~JH

- Answer Yes. I used one a few years ago. It had the UK, Ireland and part of Northern France. It was great and had all the local roads you wouldn't find on most road maps.

- Answer I have both. I don't know of any gps capabilities in the radio application. I have talked about this before with the auto people as I bought my car new and needed a GPS. I feel like they would have said something if it was possible. I hope this was helpful.

QuestionPurchased Garmin Friction Mount 010-10908-00. Not sure OK. Does not seem the mount fits onto the ball of the Friction Mount I don't want to force-- Is there one for the DriveLuxe 50MTHD unit. Ball on end of suction cup is notched and seems smaller.

- Answer Yes, this Portable Friction Mount will work with the DriveLuxe 50LMTHD. The Friction Mount ball diameter is the standard 17mm. It may require just a bit of force to get the mount on the ball arm. >JF

Questionif this uses hd digital traffic for traffic update services, how does it get updates if that service is unavailable in an area i am driving through? is it able to switch to Garmin Traffic? or will there just be no traffic updates at all?

- Answer Good Question! If you are not in an area with HD Digital Traffic coverage the device will search for standard Garmin Traffic. If the area you are traveling in has no HD/FM traffic coverage you could also try the free Live Traffic using the Garmin Smartphone Link on your mobile phone.
