A:AnswerYes, the Forerunner 10 will be able to record an activity (time, distance, pace, etc) while cycling. However, there is not a separate cycling mode, and it is not able to pair to cycling sensors (bike speed sensor, bike cadence sensor, etc).
If you are looking for a dedicated cycling computer, you may want to look at the Edge 25 instead. If you are looking for a device designed for both running and cycling, you may want to look at the vivoactive HR.

A:AnswerNo, the Forerunner 10 doesn’t include a heart rate monitor (HRM) and isn’t compatible. The Forerunner 15 model is compatible and even comes with bundled versions that include the HRM.

A:AnswerMy experience is that it records the calories burned during a timed workout (i.e. a run). If you want to wear a device all day (which I also do) I recommend the FitBit, which does track much more (depending on what you want it to track).
A:AnswerAs long as the Forerunner 10 has acquired satellites and you are recording, yes, it will track speed. You can upload your data later to Garmin Connect for viewing. Keep in mind that the Forerunner 10 is designed for running, so any metrics beyond speed, distance and pace may be irrelevant. -LB
A:AnswerHi,
The Forerunner 10 cannot be tracked in real-time for use in this manner, the tracking features of this device are only for tracking distance, speed/pace and calories during activities.
