- A:Answer The Forerunner 225 is primarily intended as a running device, and does not have activity profiles for other types of activities. I would recommend looking at the Forerunner 235 or the vívoactive HR instead, as these will fit your needs better. -OA

- A:Answer The optical heart rate sensor on the Forerunner 225 uses light to penetrate your skin and estimate your heart rate. Because this sensor requires a constant seal against your skin to accurately estimate your heart rate, using it while swimming is not advised. While it will not damage the watch, the motion may cause water or light to disrupt the sensor and provide inaccurate data or no data at all. ^DK
