Can you swim with this garmin? null

Yes, you can, I have done that, took it to a depth of 7 feet ( careful is not a diving watch) I been caught in the rain while jogging and I even sometimes shower with it. If you do take it for a swim or shower it is recommended to rinse the chorine water or soap off of it to ensure that charging connector would keep working properly, I rinse and dry mine after every run and always make sure is dry before even attempt to charge or connect to PC.

The Forerunner 230 does have a water rating that would make the device safe to use while swimming. The product is not designed to track swimming metrics.

No, the watch is not water proof.
