QuestionThree Questions: 1. Can you download/upload data using your phone with Garmin Connect? I understand this can be accomplished using a computer 2. How much memory do the routes and waypoints consume? 3. Is it possible to add additional memory? Thanks!

- Answer To download/upload data a computer must be used. It is not possible to add memory. The Foretrex 601/701 has the following track limitations: ◦Track log in .FIT format: 10,000 points ◦Track log in .GPX format: 500 points ◦100 saved tracks, each with up to 500 points in .GPX format ◦1 saved track displayed on the map at a time If a track containing more than 500 points is loaded to a Foretrex 601/701, it will be truncated down to 500 points. QuestionI want to venture out of cell service coverage in unknown forest. Does this gps work everywhere like a bread crumb trail? To find your way back to base camp?

QuestionDo you have to subscribe to base camp for all functions to work on this gps watch. Base camp is no longer updating and out of date. Can you use the free app Qmapshack. I want a gps tracker for hiking where I can download maps/way points w/o subscribtion
