• A:Answer i got one myself since i drive uber and i can tell you that this model is not motion sensor, it starts recording when it registers a car crash tough but yes, if you have the red light on in the side bottom it means that is recording sound

Q: QuestionPlease explain what the Garmin Parking Mode cable (part number 010-12530-03) does and what it connects the dash cam to? Is the parking mode cable needed if the USB end of the power cord is plugged into a power bank?

• A:Answer The parking mode cable provides both a switched source of power (when the car is running) and a constant source of power (when the car is off) so that the camera can be set to run for a predetermined time when the car is turned off and parked. I would assume if you were using a power bank to provide a constant source of power and using the car's electrical system for the switched source you would need this cable.

• A:Answer You can but there are 2 problems, it would have to be attached to the side glass in the back and you will need a power supply. Other than that it will show both children. Why not just get one with front and cabin monitor for your needs.

• A:Answer I don't know specifically about the Garmin46, but I use this as the rear camera, and I use the Dash Cam Tandem as the front. I believe the App will let you link up to 4 Garmin dash cams together, and it uses the time stamp information to keep the linked camera video in sync.
