• The nüvi 2589LMT does not include and isn't compatible with hiking trails or off road maps. I suggest looking into our Montana series if you're looking for an outdoor devices with automotive features. Thanks! (KS)

• The box says: "Includes preloaded street maps for the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands and Bahamas. Visit www.garmin.com for additional coverage information." That said, I have noticed some smaller roads, driveways for larger facilities, etc are available if you zoom in. I know that Garmin makes maps for the national parks. You might want to contact them directly. This device would not suffice for hiking as the battery life is miserable.
