• Garmin recommends not leaving the device exposed to a heat source or in a high-temperature location, such as in the sun in an unattended vehicle. To prevent damage, remove the device from the vehicle or store it out of direct sunlight, such as in the glove box. When storing the device for an extended time, store within the following temperature range: from 32°F to 77°F (from 0°C to 25°C). >JF

• I store it in the center console of my truck when not in use rather than leaving it mounted.

• Don't leave it in the car. But I do and there's never been a problem. But if it gets below 0°F or above 100°F, I take it out to be on the safe side.
