Does the Garmin Nuvi 2589 work in Thailand? null

No, it has only maps for USA, Canada and Mexico.

The nüvi 2589LMT comes preloaded with mapping of North America only. It will work in Thailand, however additional mapping would need to be purchased. ^DK
