Yes, the nüvi 2589LMT includes mapping coverage of Canada, the United States, and Mexico. ^DK

It says that it is preloaded with Lifetime North America maps, so I would say, "yes." I do see Toronto area when checking, although I am not that familiar with Canadian roads.

I have not used it in Canada, however, the box says that it is supplied with Lifetime North America maps. So, I think you should be OK within Canada. It comes with a USB cable to connect to your computer and internet for downloading updates. (I used it to look around Toronto & Niagra Falls and it appears to have roads in this area.) I've used it in the NYC area and in Orlando and it works very well as far as the maps go.
