“Programmable Route Waypoint markers I am a courier and am having trouble finding the perfect GPS that will take me point to point in the most LOGICAL way possible. I had a Garmin for a couple of months, and overall I was happy with the reliability, but I was Dissapointed in the mapping pins not being numbered on the map, making dragging hard to view on a route. Previously I had a Magellan in which the points were numbered making easier to pull stops to where you wanted them to be based on the location it was very easy to know what you were moving where. Is there any Garmin that will display a flag number?”

I've not tried to do what you ask. I HAVE put in waypoints, but I don't think that the GPS necessarily routes the fastest way. It DOES present the waypoints, numbered on the screen and asks if that's the order that you want. The few times I've done that (only one waypoint), the 2589 has suggested the fastest way. But I don't think the stops were numbered on the map.
