You will want to load Garmin Express on your computer. Then make a backup of your GPS favorites to your computer. Click on your GPS icon and then click on Tools to backup your Favorites. After backing up your favorites you can disconnect the old GPS and connect your new GPS. After or before loading all the updates and such to your new GPS, you will want to Click on the icon for your new GPS, Click Tools (which is the same place you backed up your old GPS) and go down a little more and there you can select the Old GPS and load that backup of your Favorites to your new GPS.
