• Hello Moa, The nuvi 2689LMT will only provide driving instructions and an off road route to the destination. The off road setting could be used for walking, as it simply provides a straight magenta line to the end point. This mode can be changed in the Navigation settings. You If you are interested in a device that will provide bicycle directions, you may be interested in the Garmin Edge products, which are specifically designed for biking. -NM

• Not that I am aware of. Besides the unit would be too large and bulky for walking in my opinion. I also feel it would be a bit on the large size for use on a bike.
