I see its lifetime updates.. Are they free updates? null

Yes they are free updates. You get free lifetime map and traffic updates. Very Nice. You download the Garmin app to your computer. Connect your GPS and it brings up the updates you need to run. I always do a backup first within the program. It will save a backup to your computer. This program works like a charm. I update about 15 gps units with this one program.

As far as I know they are free updates but I am not 100% sure. I have only owned my Garmin for a few months and have not used it yet.

Yes they are free the traffic and travel. However, you need to update the GPS when Garmin sends you an email to do it
