Yes, you can do 2 Setups as you want: -Setup the Video on Recording Automatically so whenever Garmin detect Lane Changing or a sudden change of speed. This won't take a lot of memory on your card. -Turn the Video on recording mode all the time but it will require you a bigger Memory Card. And you can always delete those videos at the end of your Trip or you can edited and use it as home video for your Trip Journal.

The integrated dash cam immediately starts recording when it turns on. It continues recording, overwriting the oldest, non-saved video until it turns off. While recording, the LED is solid red. The nüviCam automatically saves files if there's an impact or collision.
