• Yes, you can do 2 Setups as you want: -Setup the Video on Recording Automatically so whenever Garmin detect Lane Changing or a sudden change of speed. This won't take a lot of memory on your card. -Turn the Video on recording mode all the time but it will require you a bigger Memory Card. And you can always delete those videos at the end of your Trip or you can edited and use it as home video for your Trip Journal.

• Thank you for contacting Garmin. I am happy to assist you with your question regarding the nüviCam LMTHD. The integrated dash cam immediately starts recording when it turns on. It continues recording, overwriting the oldest, non-saved video until it turns off. While recording, the LED is solid red. The nüviCam automatically saves files if there's an impact or collision.
