- Answer The device will work out of the box without adding a micro SD card. However as future map updates are released, they may have so much new information that it won’t fit on the device's internal memory, at that point a micro SD card can be used to expand the memory. This model supports microSD cards from 8 GB to 32 GB, with speed ratings up to class 10 (including unmarked cards).

- Answer No, this device is designed to be paired to a Bluetooth-enabled phone, such as your smartphone for hands-free calling and to share information via the Garmin Drive app. This GPS will not pair to the Bluetooth in your vehicle, wireless speakers or any type of headset.

- Answer Yes, using the Garmin POI Loader, proximity alerts can be set. This will cause the device to sound an alert when traveling within a certain distance of a POI.

- Answer No it is not. It is water resistant but not water proof. So if you drop it in a puddle of water you will most likely be buying a new one. If you take it out of your car and it is raining and you go into your house you should be ok.

QuestionDoes this RV GPS have traffic routing independent of a cell phone? The Garmin Drive App has incredibly bad reviews and users find it unreliable. I am looking for an RV GPS that routes around traffic without the need of a mobile phone.
