• Yes, it does have a non-RV vehicle mode for standard vehicle routing. If you have no plans to use the RV configurations on the device for RV/Camper routing, then the Garmin DriveSmart™ 86 may be a better option: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/720310/pn/010-02471-00

• Yes you have two modes: Auto & RV and you can choose which one you are in when you start off. It's a great GPS with a lot of great functions.
