Ye. I use it with an RV770. The post clips into the base firmly and won't pop off like a suction cup would. The base is weighted, and can be moved around on your dash. If you want it to stay in one place, I would recommend double sided carpet tape to attach the bottom of the weighted base to the top of your dash.

Please ensure that the dash is free of dust and petroleum-based cleaners, you can also clean the bottom of the friction mount with a clean damp cloth.
