No, All the ones we use are about the same weight. It doesn’t doesn’t hinder it’s functionality.

Please try again later.one answer "The weight will vary." no two will be exactly the same, for sure. but 2.1 lbs by the spec and 1.34 lbs actual, could not be A variation. i followed with an inquiry to GARMIN, the answer was 1.42 lbs by their spec. i placed order for its heavy 2.1 lbs weight so it would not fall off the dashboard over a bumpy road.......... GARMIN said return it if not working for me..... it likely is better than the suction cup and only $20. will not bother returning THIS mount. hope bestbuy will correct the false spec.
