• The ball size is 17mm. This friction mount is compatible with the nuvi 52.

• It is a Garmin. Therefore, it is the same as on the windshield mount that comes standard with the Garmin GPS. It just gives flexibility of placing the GPS on a surface such as center console, as opposed to the suction cup mount. Today’s cars have little or no smooth area compatible with the suction mount. The Garmon we got would have been way too big to mount on windshield.

• It comes with one So you use that one. The circles I believe are standard. It’s the ball that is different. Which is why they give you one that fits in it.
