A:AnswerThe device has an ATM 5 water rating. You can swim and shower with, diving not recommended, GPS is built into the watch and there is no additional cost for that or to receive text messages as notifications are set up on the phone so they are sent from the phone to the watch.

A:AnswerYes it is compatible with android. You do not need to add to data plan. It works through Bluetooth. There is an app you will need to add from Garmin for support. You will be able to see text messages and calls but you will not be able to respond.
A:AnswerThe Venu Sq music edition allows for music to be downloaded to the watch. The Venu Sq does not, it only allows you to control the music on the phone from the watch.

A:AnswerYes, there are settings on the device where you can tell it at what distance you want your splits. The data will upload to Garmin Connect and you will connect your Strava account to Garmin Connect so the data will upload to Strava.
