I am using a Windows 950 XL and the vivoactive HR works pretty much correctly with it. The pairing of the phone and the HR were a pain to get done, It took the Geek Squad a numbers of tries to finally get it done. If you have issues getting it paired shut your phone off and restart it. The HR records the walk info very well and syncs it over to the Garmin Connect app well

Well I had the 1st vivoactive HR replaced due to the various issues (pairing troubles, no notifications of text, email or phone calls and no "elevation floor change" number). The new oHR paired to my phone on the 1st try, also now i do get notifications of text and emails. Plus i finally heard back from MapMyFitness, they say that the vivo series of Garmin trackers handle the step count in a new file format so currently that info along with sleep info will NOT sync over to MapMyFitness so progress is being made.
