• No, the vivoactive HR does not have an open-water swim activity profile (although it does have a pool swim profile). If you are looking for a device that does track open-water swimming, I would recommend looking at the Forerunner 735XT or the fēnix 3. -OA

• I was interested in this too, but sadly from what I have read the Vivoactive HR will not do Open Water Tracking. It's swim tracking is limited to specific pool sizes.
