• I don't see an option any where to disable this. You can set a "sleep mode" that won't bother you with the vibration, and I am pretty sure it will continue to count your steps. Just your sleep tracking will be off if you do this when you aren't actually sleeping.

• Yes, it can be disabled from the Settings from your Computer Web Browser. I have disabled it for myself. Its displayed as 'Move' on your Garmin tracker.
