“It won't recognize my tread-climber When I do 2 miles on my tread-climber, the Vivosmart does not recognize the miles. Is this a setting I need to add? I don't swing my arms on it, is that why?”

• I think it's because you don't swing your arms. I use my Elliptical machine and it registers fine. You can go into the Garmin Connect app and manually add the exercise with mileage and time. At least it will be recorded.

• Yes, the tracker works by recording movement, specifically the movement of your arm while walking. If you are holding the treadmill bar, it doesn't know you're walking because it isn't recording any arm movement.

• The vívosmart using the natural movement of your arms to calculate the stride for steps taken, if you’re arms never move it doesn’t consider your movement. ~JH
