Kimmy, Charging takes a unique cable that attached to the back of the "watch", and to a USB charging source (portable charger works fine) on the other end. This means that it must be removed from your wrist to be charged, which will result in the loss of the heart rate monitoring function, and probably affect pace counting (which doesn't matter if you're in GPS mode), but I'd expect everything to keep working and recording. Because the charging cable doesn't cover the heart rate sensors, you might even be able to keep that function working by placing a finger or thumb over the hear rate sensors:-)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see no reason why a portable charger wouldn't work. But I don't think you can charge it while wearing it. The battery life is pretty long. I use it for jogging and I leave GPS on all the time and have to charge it about once a week. Also, it charges fast. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The vivosmart HR+ does have the ability to charge while tracking an activity with GPS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know if it will continue to track while charging but it will charge off a portable charger.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if you bring the proprietary charger and an AC/USB device with you - and have some place to plug it in.
