- A:Answer If the vivofit 2 band would fit your 8 year old then they would be able to use the device. Please note, that users need to be 13 years or older to create a Garmin Connect account. You may be interested in vivofit jr. which is a similar device designed for children ages 4-9.

- A:Answer The vivofit 2 comes with two bands. The smaller of the two has numerous oval latches that could be adjusted to fit a small wrist. Depending on size it still would have about a five to six inch face where the information. I.e. Steps, time shows. This part may be too big on top of wrist.

- A:Answer The device is to be worn all of the time so wear it in the shower and can't say that it performs any worse because of that. The size of the child's wrist would be the determining factor on fit. It does need to be snug.
