Model JES1072SHSS is designed for countertop use, and we cannot recommend installing it in a tight or enclosed space. Any area you install the microwave would need to have adequate air clearance on each side (3"), the top (3") and the rear (1"), or the unit may not function properly. This unit is compact and light. As long as the cupboard space is deep enough and can allow the door to fully open, you shouldn't have any issues.
