The JEM307SHSS is available with an optional mounting kit if you would like to install it under a cabinet to free up counter space (this is what I did). The turntable measures 9.6 inches in diameter. It is steady— I have had no issues with it. We use this oven primarily to reheat our coffee and tea and to warm up leftovers. If you pop popcorn, I recommend the single-serving microwave packages rather than the bigger bags. You should have no trouble heating up water, but remember this is a 700 watt oven, so it will take a little longer to heat things compared to the higher-wattage models. It comes with a one-year warranty on parts and labor, so if there is something wrong with your unit GE will make it right—either fix or replace it.
