A:Answer Hello. We appreciate your interest in this countertop microwave, and understand how important knowing the wattage would be. The running watts are listed on the rating plate of the appliance; while the appliance is connected to 120V, the overall running wattage would be 1050. Surge amps would usually apply to appliances with compressors, such as refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, etc. It would not generally apply to a microwave. When it does apply, the surge amps/wattage would usually be about 2 to 3 times the running amps/wattage. We hope this information is helpful. We are happy to assist with any other questions or concerns. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA
