My microwave only came with an inadequate and fairly generic quick guide, but the full manual is available at GE's website (geappliances.com) under "support" by entering your model number. It includes details about the sensor cook modes. In Reheat, for example, 1=pasta, 2=vegetables, 3= dinner plate. But you're right; it doesn't indicate time remaining during the first portion of those cycles.

When one of the Sensor Cooking pads is selected, the oven will automatically cook the specific food at a pre-programmed power level that determines the proper amount of cooking time by sensing the steam that escapes as the food cooks. This feature automatically adjusts the cooking time to various types and amounts of food so you do not need to adjust or guess at how long it will take to reheat or cook the particular food. We encourage you to refer to the Cooking Guide for REHEAT on page 9 and Vegetable on page 10 of the Owner's Manual at the following link for details (Also view page 7 Humidity Sensor): https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40785.PDF - We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at 1-800-626-2005 or GEAppliances.com - Enjoy! Sue
