I looked at the label, inside the door frame, and it says it’s was assembled in Chino. I searched the web and found that there is a General Electric plant in Chino, California. https://www.dandb.com/businessdirectory/generalelectriccompany-chino-ca-22218245.html If it makes any difference, this microwave is worth every penny.

Many are manufactured in the U.S. and others are made globally to our specifications. The country of origin is shown on the Model/Serial rating plate as well as the packaging. Manufacturing facilities (plant sites, where appliances are made) can and do change from time to time because GE Appliances continues to seek the most efficient manufacturing processes available. We make products all over the world for a Global marketplace. Therefore, your best source for manufacturing location is the packaging/product itself. We hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions you may have about our appliances. -Chris@GEA
