Sorry - I don't know if there is a way to brighten the clock display. However, if your clock display is dim, you may have a defective unit. I am 68 years old, and the clock display on our unit is bright, and easily readable, day and night, from 30+ feet away.

The microwave requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. The microwave should be plugged into its own properly grounded, dedicated electrical outlet to prevent the flickering of the lights, blowing of a fuse or tripping of a circuit breaker. While we strongly recommend that an extension cord not be used with a microwave due to the potential safety hazards under certain conditions, if you use an extension cord, the interior light may flicker and the blower sound may vary when the oven is in use. Cooking times may also be longer. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
